Certification
Candidates will be able to download a certificate upon successful completion of this course and will be able to attend the PTS Practical Event course.
Pre-Requisite Requirements
It is the Sponsors responsibility to ensure candidates booked onto the course are eligible for the training they are to receive and in line with any relevant medical level or restriction that may apply, in accordance with NR/L2/OHS/00124 Competence Specific Fitness Medical Requirements.

Before course commencement, it is the responsibility for either the sponsor or candidate to log into the system to ensure that the username and password are working correctly [Please Note you do not need to complete the e-learning before attending the course].
Must be a minimum age of 16.
Must have sufficient command of English language as detailed in Network Rail Company Specification NR/L2/CTM/021 (Competence & Training in Track Safety)
Must be computer literate and be familiar with internet acess.
Must Bring Photo ID - For British Nationals, one of the following (original hard copy - not electronically): a current and valid branded form of identity token, used for accessing the RMI (Railway Maintained Infrastructure) such as a Sentinel Card; in-date and valid full driving licence; in-date and valid UK Provisional Photo Card Driving Licence; in-date and valid passport, a UK biometric ID Card/Residence Permit (BRP), an Armed Forces Identity Card, a proof of age card recognised under PASS with a unique reference number (this includes the Citizen ID Card), N.I. Electoral Identity Card or a resident permit as per Home Office guidance.
For Non-British Nationals - an in-date and valid passport, Identity Card or Driving Licence from an EU or European Economic Area (EEA) country or a US Passport Card is required (original hard copy - not electronically).

Overview
In the morning session of our bespoke PTS E-Learning course, one of our experienced Safety Critical trainers will deliver a brief giving the candidate knowledge on the following topics which will be covered during the E-Learning programme.
1) Railway Terminology
2) Accessing Network Rail Infrastructure
3) Distances and Hazards that effect Personal Track Safety.
4) Introduction to Safe Systems of Work
5) Responsibilities of the Controller of Site Safety (COSS), Site Warden and Lookout.
6) Controller of Site Safety Briefing
The programme takes approximately three and a half hours to complete and during this time the candidate will have the trainer for support.
Following this there is a short online exam that needs to be completed by the individual.
